Foundation History

Black Sea Shield is established with the cooperation held among the two regionally leading defence company BAYKAR Tech and Ukrspecexport. The deal was publicized during the visit of president Zelensky to Turkey on August 27, 2019. BAYKAR Tech is founded in 1984 with the aim of supplying the automotive industry, yet with the changing trends within the international status quo it has transformed itself into Turkey's leading UAV and AI Company. On the other hand, the Ukrspecexport is an authorized state-owned intermediary company, which is engaged in foreign economic activities for export and import of military and special-purpose products and services.
